Bowie Design & Home Improvement marks a new road for Bowie brothers Andy and Robert. Andy and Robert Bowie have been building homes for the past 36 years and have decided to add to the quality service and dedication they've spent in building homes to now repairing, remodeling and maintaining them.

Andy and Robert Bowie have always taken great pride in building homes for their family company Nu-Homes, Inc. With the expanding of services they provide to their clients, Andy and Robert felt it was time for their business to have a new name and identity and so Bowie Design & Home Improvement was born.

Bowie Name

When deciding on the new name for their business, Andy and Robert decided that the family name was best. The Bowie name has enjoyed recognition in Maryland for nearly 300 years. John Bowie, who debarked from Scotland in 1705 at the invitation of Captain John Smith, represents the first in a long line of Bowies. Later, Bowies became governors, legislators, military officers, and even a designer of the Washington Monument.

Bowie Design & Home Improvement hopes to build on the reputation they established under Nu-Homes, Inc. which has been a trusted quality builder in Howard County since 1975 when it was begun by their father Harry Bowie.

Nu-Homes, Inc. established itself as one of the top residential construction companies in Howard County and also constructed homes on many private lots throughout Anne Arundel, Prince George’s, Carroll and Montgomery Counties.
